Lisa’s first piece of content focuses on the mentality of gymnasts and how to remain cool, calm, and collected in the gym.
Here, Lisa writes:
During summer training, athletes want to improve and advance their skills. It’s important to stay safe, and make sure to balance out feelings of urgency and being calm. Urgency creates nervousness and tension. When athletes learn the steps to getting calm, they also feel safe, think clearly, and stay in control.
Athletes can practice the tools and calming techniques in my book, “Focused and On Fire: The Athlete’s Guide to Mental Training & Kicking Butt.” Athletes love it! They will feel more confident and learn ways to manage their emotions.
